Current music:Liars-It Fit When I Was A Kid

Danced my way across your lawn.
Page two and I still don't seem to have a name for this thing. Anyone have any ideas?

The dream continues...

In other news, I'll be starting my new job tomorrow. After a week of waking up early for training it'll be just me, two other employees, and the gentle hum of copy machines at 2 o'clock in the morning. No customers, no phonecalls, no scalding myself with coffee products (unless I really really want to). This job was tailor-made for my pale, nightowl personage. I can't wait!

Nice to hear you've found a job that won't be entirely aggrivating. Also you've got a fat face in panel 3. Lose some weight fatty.

Ah, you've discovered the difference between us, dear brother: for me to have a fat face, I have to draw it.

I'd punch you in the face for that comment, but you probably wouldn't feel it because of all that fat, fatty. My cat looks thin next to you.

Now, now, boys! you're both equally fat as far as I'm concerned. And as for your cat Ian, nothing can make her look thin. And I mean NOTHING!

I'm going to wait until you finish the comic before I offer a title. That way I can continue to repress my tentative suggestion, which I will at all costs keep to myself. Namely, "The Saga of a Sexy Beast of an Undecorated Officer: The Meeting of the Medic and the Mind; Men in Uniform and the Big Bang; Big Black Boots; Deep Trenches and Long Bayonettes."

I'll hold it until the climax, you dog. Best to not ask prematurely unless you CONsciously desire unsatisfying issue.

Very suggestive stuff, your dream.

I think that title has more words in it than the comic will. I must adopt it at once!

And I'll hold my peace in favor of being surprised, thank you.

I'm entirely intrigued.

Is the job at a 24 hour copy place or something? Won't that mean that when there are customers, they'll be the crazies 'cause it's 2 in the morning? Better keep that coffee around in case you need to "accidentally" scald someone. Or better yet, get a scalder monkey. Then you can claim you don't know how it got in the store, and no one will be the wiser.

The job is doing overnight production at CopyMax, and they shut their doors at 10 PM. So no distractions AT ALL! I stood in the back today working a laminator and not helping customers. It was glorious. And when I switch to my actual night schedule, I won't even have to look at them!

I still think I want a scalder monkey, though. I'll be visiting my brother pretty soon.

i was being trained for a job exactly like that during ungodly hours to humor my insomnia.. it lasted maybe a week? i am not cut out for the machinated duplication world. and upon leaving i stole an apron :)

and one of my current bosses used to wear a pith helmet as he is an archaeologist. i am living your life and dreams, but not really.

I'm finding something very soothing about the mechanical side to it, actually. In the unlikely, soul-crushing event that I can't make a go of things as an illustrator and cartoonist, I'd like to work at a printers. Just one classier than this one. With a letterpress and screen-printing. And a pony.

Your boss sounds amazingly cool. Did he have muttonchops as well?

there always ought to be ponies.

no muttonchops, but he did smoke a pipe. and was knighted, tahitian-style. these days, he's a little japanese man (shorter than me) in his mid-80s.
