Don't give up on my bad luck it's all I've got with me
A new painting

A couple weeks ago I started painting again for the first time in probably a year. The gentleman above was an attempt at a portrait of one of my heroes, but the fact that it doesn't really look like him doesn't bother me. It probably doesn't bother him either, seeing as how he's dead...

On the opposite end of the artistic spectrum, I've submitted another shirt to Threadless.

Electronic Mail - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

I don't know what I was thinking, as history has proven that they don't really like my work. But if you find yourself so inclined, head on over there and vote on it. Because if it loses, my tears will flood the countryside and ruin your lives. Or something.

That painting is sweet. I think every artist should occasionally take breaks and get back to their roots for a bit/ Plus painting is fun.

My brother's designs never scored well on Threadless, but they ended up getting printed anyway. You have to remember that 90% of the people on their are other designers/illustrators rating everyone a zero so their own score will look better in the grand scheme of things.

This is Zachary, by the way; my computer is lying in a shallow grave somewhere so I'm using Lauren's.

If 90% of the people there are other designers and illustrators, then why do 90% of the submissions look like a cat got ahold of a copy of Illustrator CS2? I mean, one of my cats is pretty proficient with Illustrator, but I don't think I'd wear her shirts.

I think people should be a lot more honest. If the design has poor craft, or the idea is unclear, it doesn't deserve a good score. Simple as that.

And thank you. You're very kind.

Awww, it loves you too. Thank you.

I like what you've been doing with color lately, by the way.

Perhaps you are naked now? Perhaps you would like to buy a shirt to wear? To wear and to KEEP ON ROCKIN'?!

I think what the problem is with your designs (not from my perspective, but the "special" voters') is that they may be too literal. For some reason, people don't seem to like it, I suppose. I, on the otherhand, like everyone else who commented here, love it.
Also, thanks again for the pic, it makes my day!
